WHO HAS THE TALENT, HEART AND STORY TO MAKE A POP PRINCESS CRY?
Don Philip, that's who. When taking the stage for a recent X-Factor audition at the Oracle Arena, Don brought a surprised and emotional Britney Spears to tears. "I know him ... We did a duet together 10 years ago." she told co-panelists Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato.
A fellow young signee to the Jive Records imprint Philip is the only singer to ever duet with Britney, singing the ballad "I Will Still Love You," on Spears' 1999 smash debut album "Baby One More Time."
The remarkably talented singer songwriter and Miami native Don Philip first hit the airwaves back in 1999 when he sang the duet, "I Will Still Love You," on Britney Spears' debut album and contributed the original track, "Sugar," to the soundtrack of the teen-oriented motion picture, "Drive Me Crazy." Since then Don has honed his songwriting skills and soulful singing, focusing now on his own projects and the results show an emerging artist that has finally come into his own. Philip's new full length solo album "Energy" boasts 16 original compositions plus a bonus remix of his new single "Second Glance." Lovers of carefully constructed dance pop will surely take notice as Philip proves that he is one of the best new artists to emerge from the Miami dance scene in quite some time.
